I personally make a little bank of them for bulk sifting and just pull out the meshes from the majority of them when I want to use a specific mesh for a few of something (like bonemeal or petals) For example, dust in a string mesh gets you bonemeal, and you can sift soulsand for botania petals with one specific mesh (forgot which) which is very important.Īs far as I can tell, mesh doesn't break so you should only make as many a you need for however many sieves you plan on using. Pay attention to the NEI lists for the various Mesh, different mesh give different things. This is the version of ExNihi that lets you use multiple standard sieves if they're next to each other. Once you get a crucible to make water, you can open up a LOT more of the pack and you'll need 2 brown and 2 red mushrooms to do that. Brown mushrooms have been the bane of my existence on one of my initial plays which I ended up abandoning. they're needed to make living wood which is needed to make a crucible, which is needed to make water, which is needed for a lot of other stuff. I'd recommend making a trek out into the world to find red and brown mushrooms as soon as you feel comfortable.

seriously, mushrooms are super important. These will be great sources of experience early on. After that, focus on mining and gathering until you can at least use an iron pick and mine coal/gold/iron. This lets you use normal chests as well as opens up a couple of other blocks you'll want. I highly recommend getting your building up to 4 initially. You need skills for damn near everything in this pack. You need that many levels to skill up 1 time in that particular skill, you click the tick box to do this. The skills in the middle are 'special' skills, don't worry about them initially. Click on the individual skills and then you'll see a window with a couple of icons and a number with a tick box on the top right. you click on the little icon on the left side of your inventory to go in. "You don't have the skills to X" This is linked to the skillable mod, which isn't really explained that great in the pack. Not saying your opinions aren't valid, it IS a frustrating pack, I get it, but let's keep it constructive. If you don't like the pack for "reasons" please, express yourself in the 'release' thread, i'd like to keep this to the folks interested in playing it. I figured this pack could use a tips/tricks thread.
